Celtica's new CD 'Celtic Fire'!

Celtica's new CD 'Celtic Fire'!

'Celtic Fire' shows a distinctively different side of the band from the first CD, 'Labyrinth Walk'.
'Labyrinth Walk' was a contemplative excursion into the softer side of traditional Irish music recorded by Celtica's core duo of Tammera Lane and Tim Dooley, including Clancy Clements on whistles and bagpipes. 'Celtic Fire' is decidedly more upbeat, with Tammera on hammered dulcimer, piano/keys and field organ, Tim on guitars, bouzouki, mandolin and bodhran, nicely spiced with the incendiary fiddle of Carolyn Dutton, plus the traditional flavors of bagpipe and whistles by Clancy Clements, with hurdy gurdy and various percussion elements by Tom Lozano.
The CD was produced and engineered by Jeff Foster (who also played guitar, bass and drums) and recorded at Jeff's StringDancer Recording Studio in Brown County, Indiana.
We're all proud of the finished product, and glad to share it with our fans.

Labyrinth Walk Review:
My wife and I just got back from Iona and Britain, and your CD arrived in the mail that awaited us, and I was blown away with the Celtic flavor of it. I wept when I heard "Be thou My Vision" by Tammera on the piano. And I appreciate your work with labyrinths--Waycross's et al. I'm a retired Episcopal priest and have served as chaplain for Waycross events and love their labyrinth there. Thanks for the music!

Labyrinth Walk Review: Dear Tammera,
I absolutely LOVE your new CD. I've been listening to it over and over again. It's on repeat!
Your piano playing is so emotional and tasty. The song selection is perfect, and it's just amazing!
Thank you for sharing that with me. I can't wait to uncover all the hidden gems on repeated listenings.
Love, love, love it!

Comment from  Michael Walt about Arran Boat recording: This reminds me of things long past. Of wizards plying their spells with staff and mystic word and when elves ruled the wood with bow and fleetness of foot. A time when dwarves dwelled deep in the earth searching for gold and gleaming gems, and dragons took wing soaring, their flaming breath scorching the skies. When dark horrors roamed the shadows of the world for blood and flesh and heroes, questing, sought them out to bring them low. A time long past, a time to remember, yet to many have long forgot.
